Very Nice Brewing Company (Nederland, CO)

This is my first foray to a brewery outside of Colorado Springs (I had to get away for a bit). Very Nice Brewery is as advertised, very nice. They had beers on the menu that looked inspired rather than just hum drum flagships that the bigger breweries in COS have. Nederland is no city, but it’s not the small mountain hippy town that I remember from my childhood (I grew up not too far from here, in between Boulder and Nederland).

The brewery is very comfortable. There’s no echoing metallic warehouse vibe, it’s just really calming. There’s a good crowd here, which usually means a loud cacophony of voiced, but you can have a discussion without having to raise your voice. A nice change from most busy breweries. There is a slight whiff of marijuana, but it’s Nederland after all. Best of all, they’re playing the Eagles on the radio! They know the way to my heart.

I believe there are two other breweries in this tiny town, and compared to the other one I visited here a few years back, VNB has it beat.

Such a great crowd too. Mellow, laid back, friendly, and just what I needed after spending too many months in the military industrial complex and evangelical capital of Colorado Springs (no offense Springers).

About Me

I'm a fan of beer, and so is Vinny (my dog). We love our local breweries and probably spend too much time thinking about their brews. I'm happy to be your unofficial guide to Colorado Springs beer. I hope you enjoy our taproom tales!
