About Me (and Vinny)

I'm by no means an expert on beer. Then again, I've been drinking beer for over three decades and have lived all across this great nation, visiting countless breweries along the way. I've also been home brewing for about 15 years, but I only put energy into that endeavor once every few months. Aside from visiting breweries and brewing my own, I visit my local beer store a few times a week to pick up some local (or not so local) beers to stock my fridge. So, while I might not have a fancy title, I think it's safe to say that I love beer!

I was born and raised in the mountains west of Boulder, then I took a long hiatus from Colorado, only to return in 2014 to Colorado Springs, which is a much different world than Boulder, that is for sure. One thing the two towns have in common is a vibrant brewery scene. Regardless of my location, I spend an unhealthy amount of time thinking about which brewery I'll visit next. Although I never take my trusty beer-drinking dog Vinny with me to the breweries (unless I want a lawsuit on my hands), he always samples what I bring home. So, he's the mascot for this site and probably knows more about beer than any dog alive. I hope you enjoy reading about our taproom tales!
