Mash Mechanix Brewing Company

Mash Mechanix is a relatively new brewery. By that, I mean about three years, maybe four. It’s just east of downtown Colorado Springs where the trendy new apartment buildings are sprouting up. The brewery itself is a cool, one story brick building with a nice ‘L’ shaped patio that goes along the back and side of the building. There’s a permanent food ‘truck’ outside on the patio, in case you get the munchies.

There’s a good range of beers on tap, from Belgians to browns, lagers to the dreaded hazy IPA. There’s also a black IPA and a few cream ales, to include Anna Banana, which is the first beer I reviewed from here.

I’ve only been here a couple of times and I’m not sure why I haven’t stopped by more often. They’re right off one of the city’s bike paths (Shook’s Run) and close to downtown. I’m start putting it in my rotation. The crowd is a good mix of Colorado Springs residents: Hipsters riding in on their rented electic scooters, older brewery regulars, tourists, you name it. There's usually some entertainment on the weekends, but all in all, it's just a laid back urban hangout.

(And FYI: For those odd people who don’t like beer, there are some cocktails and wine available.)

About Me

I'm a fan of beer, and so is Vinny (my dog). We love our local breweries and probably spend too much time thinking about their brews. I'm happy to be your unofficial guide to Colorado Springs beer. I hope you enjoy our taproom tales!
